Clinical Director & Clinical Counselor II
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Chanel Treadwell is our Clinical Director and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She has a Masters in Clinical Counseling, a Bachelors in Psychology, and a minor in Diversity studies. Her multicultural upbringing and training provide her with great empathy and multicultural competence when working with her clients. Chanel's previous internships have spanned work with clients as young as toddlers and across various walks of life.

Chanel also has her PPS credential and has engaged in several school counseling internships at the elementary, and high school levels, as well as a site counselor internship position at the middle school level. Her drive comes from a wish that school counselors were available when she was a young student, and now working to fill that gap for the current generation.

Chanel enjoys working with the young adult population and supporting clients through important life transitions. She understands the development years can be difficult to navigate, especially in our ever-changing world, both for children as well as parents and guardians. Chanel is an LGBTQ+ Ally and has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and academic-related concerns. Additionally, Chanel specializes in working with young clients and their families to encourage positive relationships, navigate academic, interpersonal, and emotional concerns, and provide support in life transitions.

Chanel uses a variety of methods and interventions, including CBT, Gestalt, and Solution-Focused, practices with the lens of equality, collaboration, and holism.  She understands that you are the expert of your experience, and works to come alongside you in finding the answers and strengths within yourself.

She is available to work with students at their school site, as well as children, individuals, couples, and families here at the CCS office.
