Renee Tate
Clinical Counselor I
My name is Renee Tate, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with Clay Counseling Solutions. I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where individuals, couples, and families feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s transitions, relational challenges, and emotional stressors. I enjoy creating supportive experiences where relational healing can be accelerated.
I hold my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and Bachelors in Sociology from UCLA and continue building my clinical expertise while working under the supervision of licensed clinicians. My training draws from evidence-based approaches such as Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based and Somatic-Informed Therapy and I am passionate about integrating strengths-based strategies that honor each client’s unique experiences and cultural identity. I support clients in reconnecting with their inner wisdom, exploring meaning, and cultivating greater presence and self-compassion.
My approach to therapy centers on empathy, presence, and partnership, because I believe healing grows out of trusting relationships and authentic connection. I am particularly passionate about supporting clients in cultivating emotional resilience, building meaningful relationships, and uncovering their personal strengths as they work toward their goals.
Outside of my clinical training, I bring lived experience as a former foster youth and childhood sexual assault survivor along with deep presence and authenticity to my work, which enriches how I engage with and advocate for others. My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you with curiosity, warmth, and a commitment to your well-being.
