Brenda Medina serves as Program Coordinator and Clinical Counselor at Clay Counseling Solutions. She entered the mental health field with a passion to work with and give back to her community. Brenda earned her M.A in Clinical Mental Health at the University of Redlands, and is a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). She has rich experience in working with infants ages 0-3 that are at-risk for developmental delays or have been diagnosed with developmental delays, young adults ages 16-25, as well as experience in group counseling, and family counseling. Brenda has worked with individuals and families dealing with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. Before joining CCS, Brenda was given leadership positions overseeing mental health services and has collaborated on developing curriculum aimed at providing psychoeducation for students and parents. In addition, she is also experienced in facilitating and developing curriculum for staff professional development opportunities.

Brenda strives to create a safe space for her clients and empowers them throughout their journey to self-discovery, while also making sure she serves an advocate. She has a passion for school-based counseling and loves the experience she has gained working with families and their children. Her advocacy efforts for mental health as well as social justice, have been the perfect combination for fulfilling the mission at Clay Counseling Solutions by providing culturally competent care for her clients. 

On her free time, Brenda enjoys spending time with her loved ones and writing poetry.
